1. For all goods that are supplied on a hire basis, they remain the property of Finishing Touches Hire.

 

2. The Hirer is the person named on the booking form and this person shall be solely responsible for the goods under these terms and conditions.

 

3. The hire period is 5 days in total. This can be extended at Finishing Touches Hire’s discretion and an extra hire charge will be payable by the Hirer.

 

4. No booking is secure until a 25% non-refundable security deposit has been paid and a signed booking form is received back to Finishing Touches Hire. The booking will be deemed to have been cancelled if full payment has not been made 4 weeks before the event. If a booking is cancelled more than 4 weeks in advance of the event then no more is payable. If a booking is cancelled within 4 weeks of the event then the full remaining balance is payable. If the event is only postponed, the balance can be used against future bookings within the next 12 months. Bookings made within 4 weeks of the event must be paid in full at the time of booking.

 

5. A damage deposit will be required before the start of the hire, this will be refunded at the end of the hire period if all items are returned without damage. Any replacement or damage costs that may occur during the hire period will be taken from the damage deposit at the end of the hire and the Hirer will pay any additional cost required for any non-returns or unusable, damaged goods at full retail value. Details of the current retail value can be given at the time of booking.

 

6. Finishing Touches Hire will provide the cost for delivery and collection of goods based on mileage to/from the required destination. This cost is for delivery and collection by Finishing Touches Hire in their own vehicles. There is a minimum order value of £100 for all goods delivered outside a 25mile radius. (This may be waivered at Finishing Touches Hire’s discretion). Delivery cannot be made if the full remaining balance has not been paid.

 

7. Although we check every order before and after hire, it is the Hirers responsibility to check any damage or discrepancy of goods when delivered to them or collected from them at the start of the hire period. Failure to notify us of any damage or discrepancy at this time may mean that we are unable to offer any refund or replacement.

 

8. The Hirer shall be alone responsible for ensuring the hired goods are kept in good order from the time of receipt until back to Finishing Touches Hire. It is the Hirers responsibility to ensure the venue or other third party whom takes possession of the goods is clearly aware of this. The Hirer will be responsible to pay for any damaged or lost items caused by the venue or any third party.

 

9. Finishing Touches Hire shall not be responsible for any injury or damage to persons or property that may arise from any of our goods under hire or otherwise.

 

10. All candles used with our goods are used at the Hirers own risk. It is essential that non-drip candles are used with all our goods to prevent any unwanted wax dripping and causing damage. Failure to use non-drip candles with our goods will result in the Hirer paying for any damage that may occur as explained in paragraph 5.
